April was born in California and raised in Texas, where she discovered her love of tacos, bluebonnets, and weekends in the hill country watching college football. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Psychology from UT-Austin, she worked in neuroscience research, studying how the brain supports memory. April craved a career which incorporated her love of science with direct personal engagement, thus, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Texas Woman’s University in Houston, TX.

April completed a year-long certification in orthopedic manual therapy, which built a solid foundation for her to skillfully treat pelvic health patients with complex underlying orthopedic conditions. April has also completed numerous continuing education courses focusing on the pelvic health of all pelvis owners, as well as the management of the older adult, the fitness athlete, and functional dry needling. After the successful completion of a written case study, she earned a Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Health from the National Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy.

With her expertise in pelvic health, April had the unique opportunity to develop a successful hospital-based pelvic health rehabilitative program in Houston, TX. April has a passion for teaching and lectures for The University of Colorado OB-Gyn Residency Program. She also assists with courses for the Institute of Clinical Excellence in the Clinical Management of the Fitness Athlete Pregnancy and Postpartum Division.

Outside of the clinic, April loves performing at special events as a professional harpist, attending live music concerts, traveling the world, cooking, and maintaining an active Colorado lifestyle through hiking, CrossFit, yoga, and meditation.
